Kreativ Inc.
Innovative ideas.
Excellence in execution.
Kreativ Inc. specializes in bridging international and U.S. markets through big unscripted formats and premium documentary series. Kreativ Inc. was formed in 2017 in partnership with Banijay’s award-winning Bunim/Murray Productions in the United States. The ongoing mission is simple: produce bold and creative concepts from origination through production for broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms.
Kreativ Inc.’s credits include The Selection on History Channel, Undressed on MTV, and the award-winning and critically-acclaimed documentary series Surviving R. Kelly on Lifetime. In 2019, Kreativ Inc. was awarded the Critics Choice Award for Best Achievement in Nonfiction Production.
Joel Karsberg founded Kreativ Inc. in 2017 following the merger between production company giants Banijay and Zodiak. Joel had formerly been the CEO of Zodiak USA and Chairman of the International Development Board, overseeing new programming between Zodiak’s 48 subsidiaries, operating in 15 different countries. Prior, Joel was the CCO of Zodiak Media’s Nordic division, a powerhouse for creative formats.
Joel has extensive experience as both a showrunner and development executive that span from big live events to gameshows, competition formats, and documentary series. In his career, Joel has produced over 450 hours of programming for networks in the United States, Scandinavia, and around the word. Many of these titles have also become successful formats traveling to multiple territories. Joel’s recent executive producer credits include Undressed (MTV) The Selection (History) Celebrity Wife Swap (ABC), Planet Primetime (Travel), Dropped (TV4) True Talent (TV3), Trash or Treasure (TV4).
Prior to joining Kreativ Inc. in February 2017, Jesse was the Director of Development for Entertainment One’s unscripted television division. While at eOne Jesse was behind the development of Nicole and Jionni’s Shore Flip (FYI), On Tour With (BET), and Growing Up Hip Hop, Atlanta (WeTV).
Jesse has also had executive roles at Maverick TV (of All3Media Group) and One Three Media (a Hearst | Mark Burnett Productions venture) as well as a management role for the Kardashian family. Jesse graduated from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 2009 with a B.A. in Communications and Media Studies.
Jason joined Kreativ Inc in February 2019 after nearly decade in the digital comedy space. As a writer and editor at Funny Or Die, Jason generated hundreds of millions of views from deep inside in the darkest corners of the internet, occasionally poking his head above water to write a song for Larry King or to spend an hour eating a single french fry. Prior to Funny Or Die, Jason worked at the digital video startup Blip (now Disney) where he devoured more webseries content than anyone else on the planet, while also carving out time to write and perform in his own.
A longtime sketch writer at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre, Jason is the former co-host of the once mildly popular hybrid-comedy podcast, America Won’t Shut Up, and has led in the creation of several fake magazines as a member of the comedy collective, Fortunate Horse. Once upon a time, Jason graduated from Middle Tennessee State University with a degree in Music Business, but as the years go by, that seems less and less relevant.
